A new analysis of past research finds erectile dysfunction (ED) affects 53 percent of men with diabetes. The study looked at data for nearly 90,000 men and found that those with diabetes are three and a half times more likely than men without the disease to experience ED. In addition to the sexual issue itself, ED can be a sign of cardiovascular problems that are also common in patients with diabetes, and researchers urge doctors to screen for diabetes and heart disease in men who experience ED.
