A new study has found that participants who consumed high amounts of magnesium, either through diet or through supplementation, had a reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The patients who benefitted most from magnesium supplementation were those whose overall diets were poor; the added magnesium resulted in greater reduction in risk for these patients. Read more
