
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released new physical activity guidelines to update their previous, decade-old set, in November 2018. Given that there are already sets of activity guidelines, including one for type 2 from the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Diabetes Association, and a 2016 ADA position statement on exercise and physical activity for all types of diabetes, does the new federal guideline offer any new benefit for people with diabetes?
